Sheel Biotech Signs ICAR-CISH MoU; Shares Rise 0.12%

Sheel Biotech formalised an MoU with ICAR-CISH Lucknow under the Fruit Horizon programme to strengthen fruit innovation and biotechnology commercialisation initiatives.

Mumbai, May 21: Sheel Biotech Ltd formalised a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research – Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture (ICAR-CISH), Lucknow, under the “Fruit Horizon” programme, according to an exchange disclosure.
The company stated that the MoU was formally executed and delivered on Thursday, following completion of procedural formalities and official exchange between the parties.
According to the filing, the agreement focuses on technology commercialisation and collaboration in fruit innovation and horticulture biotechnology initiatives.
The ceremony was attended by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state ministers associated with agriculture and horticulture, senior ICAR officials and representatives from CISH Lucknow.
The company added that the MoU presentation relating to technology commercialisation was delivered by Dr. Anju Bajpai, Principal Scientist and Head, Division of Crop Improvement and Biotechnology.
