Silver Futures Rise to Rs 2.40 Lakh per Kg

New Delhi: Silver prices rose 0.19 per cent to Rs 2.40 lakh per kg in the futures trade on Tuesday amid fresh position build-up by participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the white metal for December delivery increased by Rs 456, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 2,40,577 per kilogram in a business turnover of 2,655 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.

In the overseas market, silver futures decreased 0.17 per cent to USD 66.46 per ounce.
