Silver Rate Today, July 7, 2026: Silver Price Slides Rs 49 per 10 gram as Metal Retreats from Monday’s Highs

Mumbai, July 7: National silver price for 10 grams traded lower at Rs 2,450 on Tuesday (Rs 245 per gram or Rs 2,45,000 per kg), down Rs 49 from Monday’s national rate of Rs 2,499 for 10 grams.

This pullback follows Monday’s Rs 48 jump high and snaps a brief rally that had continued into early parts of the week. While the movement in domestic silver prices in India usually shadows trends in international prices, movements on any given day are also determined by factors such shifts in global industrial demand for silver, movements in the US dollar, and risk-on/risk-off sentiment that dominates global markets each day. Price of silver in India is arrived at based on international prices, which see continuous movement in both directions during the day.

Silver Prices in Indian Cities vs Monday

Notably, all the cities tracked by Goodreturns.in matched Tuesday’s downswing with silver prices in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Pune easing Rs 49 each to Rs 2,450 per 10 grams from Rs 2,499 on Monday, whereas Delhi, Vadodara and Ahmedabad fell a tad higher by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,449 per 10 grams from Rs 2,499.

Chennai traded at par with the rest of the country after having commanded a Rs 100 premium on Monday at Rs 2,599 per 10 grams. Chennai corrected Rs 100 to Rs 2,499 today; this means, Chennai silver now trades at almost the same price where Mumbai and Delhi prices hovered a day ago. Hyderabad and Kerala recorded the biggest fall of Rs 149 each to Rs 2,450 per 10 grams from Rs 2,599, wiping out the Rs 100 premium that Monday had ended with for these three cities against the rest of the country.

Hence it can be seen that, excepting Hyderabad and Kerala, most Indian cities now hover around the Rs 2,450- Rs 2,449 band, which is either level with or within a rupee or two of where the national benchmark traded on Tuesday.

Gold Prices on Tuesday

Spot gold prices in India dipped on Tuesday by Rs 110 to Rs 1,46,610 for 10 grams of 24 karat gold (99.9% purity), after closing at Rs 1,46,720 on Monday. Gold of 22 karat (91.6% purity) declined by Rs 100 to Rs 1,34,390 for 10 grams from Rs 1,34,490 on Monday, while 18 karat gold (75% purity) reduced by Rs 80 to Rs 1,09,960 per 10 grams from Rs 1,10,040. The declines in all purity levels follow a strong Friday and Monday in which gold added significant value to its counters, hinting at some profit booking after the recent rally. However, gold prices are still at levels last seen in the start of February, and underlying demand from jewellers continues to be steady.
