Erode, August 25, 2025 – SKM Egg Products Export (India) Ltd (NSE: SKMEGGPROD, BSE: 532143) share price jumped 5% on Monday, before trading at the day’s high of ₹349.75. The rally was a new 52-week high for the stock, against a prior close of ₹333.10.  As of 02:58 pm IST, strong buying momentum kept the counter frozen at the day’s ceiling, with buy orders outweighing sell interest in the BE segment under the ESM-1 framework.

The rally drove the company’s market cap to ₹920.89 crore with a free-float value of approximately ₹396.60 crore. Trading volumes reached 0.62 lakh shares, equating to a turnover of nearly ₹2.17 crore.

Promoter Increases Holding

The trend reversal was accompanied by a significant revelation about promoter activity. SKM Shree Shivkumar, a company promoter, purchased 31,177 shares in the open market on August 22, 2025, as per SEBI (SAST) Regulations, 2011 Regulation 29(2) filings.

With this transaction, the promoter’s holding increased from 45.10% to 45.22%, pushing his holding to 1.19 crore shares of the company’s total 2.63 crore equity base. Although the increase of 0.12 percentage points may seem small, the buying signals reflected the enduring optimism of the promoter group in the growth path of the company.

Price Action Snapshot

The movement on the day was characterised by strong investor interest. The stock opened at ₹339.70, intraday high of ₹349.75, and never slid below the opening. The VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) for the day stood at ₹348.26, supporting the positive sentiment. Today’s spurt is an addition to the stock’s momentum over the past weeks on the back of hopes for strong demand for egg-based exports and improving fundamentals.

Outlook

Market observers indicate that the promoter’s recent buy, along with consistent buying interest, could further prop up the stock price in the near future. But analysts warn that valuations are slowly creeping up, and general market conditions will continue to be an important factor in maintaining momentum.
