Mumbai, October 1: Sterlite Technologies Limited said its wholly owned subsidiary has received a Long-Term Supply Agreement (LTSA) from a hyperscale partner, with the potential contract value estimated at around $1.2 billion.
According to the exchange filing dated October 1, 2026, the agreement covers the supply of optical connectivity products based on the customer’s specifications. The contract is international in nature and is scheduled to run up to December 2030.
The company said the estimated value is based on prevailing selling prices of connectivity products. The agreement provides for periodic purchase orders to be released during the contract period rather than a single order for the entire value.
Stock Market Snapshot
The Sterlite Technologies share price stood at ₹954.80 as of 11:24:55 AM IST on October 1, 2026, according to the market data.
The stock was up ₹44.90, or 4.93%, at the time. Shares had moved between positive and negative territory during the morning before gaining momentum later in the session.
The price movement came as the company disclosed the long-term agreement with the hyperscale customer. The Sterlite Technologies share price was among the key market points following the announcement.
Optical Connectivity Supply To Continue Through 2030
Under the agreement, optical connectivity products will be allocated for supply in each calendar year from CY26 through CY30. Purchase orders are expected to be issued periodically over the tenure of the contract.
The LTSA also establishes a reciprocal risk-sharing framework between the parties. This includes mutually agreed and capped financial liabilities in the event of demand or supply capacity shortfalls or failures.
Sterlite Technologies said the contract has an estimated potential value of approximately $1.2 billion. The customer has been described in the regulatory filing as a hyperscale partner, while its name has not been disclosed.
Agreement Strengthens Sterlite Technologies’ Optical Connectivity Business
The contract is focused on optical connectivity products, an area directly linked to the company’s fibre and connectivity solutions business. The supply arrangement will remain in place until December 2030, subject to the terms of the agreement and periodic purchase orders.
The company also disclosed that its promoter, promoter group and group companies have no interest in the entity awarding the contract. The transaction does not fall within the scope of related-party transactions, according to the filing.
