New Delhi, October 9, 2025Sterlite Technologies Limited (NSE: STLTECH), a global leader in optical and digital networking solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with QNu Labs Pvt. Ltd. to enhance research and development of quantum communications through optical fibre technology.

The collaboration unites STL’s expertise in high-capacity fibre transmission systems with QNu Labs’ quantum key distribution (QKD) and cybersecurity solutions. Through the collaboration, the two companies will work to develop scalable, quantum-secure network architectures, placing India at the cutting edge of global quantum communication innovation.

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL): A world leader in end-to-end connectivity solutions in fibre optics, network design, and digital infrastructure serving telecom, enterprise, and data centre customers in more than 100 countries.

QNu Labs Pvt. Ltd.: A quantum cybersecurity pioneer incubated at IIT Madras Research Park, providing full-stack quantum-safe encryption and QKD solutions engineered to protect national and enterprise-grade data infrastructures.

Management Commentary

Sunil Gupta, CEO of QNu Labs, stated that the partnership is a step toward turning India into a “quantum-safe nation.” At the same time, STL Chief Technology Officer Dr. Badri Gomatam emphasized the venture as “a step ahead in establishing secure, future-proof optical networks that create new benchmarks across the world.”

Shares of Sterlite Technologies Limited closed at ₹118 on October 9, 2025, an increase of 0.36%. Sterlite Technologies Limited shares have appreciated 45% in the year-to-date and 124% in the past six months. Sterlite Technologies Ltd shares opened at ₹117.85 and ranged between a high of ₹119.87 and a low of ₹117.40 during Thursday’s trading session. The company’s market cap was ₹5,770 crore. The stock has traded in a range of ₹54.24 to ₹140.40 over the past 52 weeks.
