Mumbai, July 10: Investors in India will be tracking stocks of TCS on Friday after the company reported its Q1 results. Dixon shares will be under spotlight today after the company signed JV with Vivo. Here is what you should track.
TCS Q1 Profit Jumps 4.9% YoY to Rs 13,349 Cr
Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) consolidated net profit jumped nearly 5 per cent year-on-year to Rs 13,349 crore for the first quarter (Q1) ended June 2026 of FY27 from Rs 12,760 crore in Q1FY26. Profit fell nearly 3 per cent on a sequential basis from Rs 13,718 crore in the April-June period a year ago. Revenue from operations rose 14 per cent year-on-year and 2.2 per cent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 72,275 crore from Rs 63,437 crore and Rs 70,698 crore in Q1FY26 and Q4FY26, respectively. This is the first set of major numbers from the country’s largest IT services provider for the current fiscal. Investors will look for management commentary on deal wins, discretionary spending and margin trajectory as a watchful global spending environment begins to impact sector deals.
Dixon Signs JV With Vivo Mobile India
Dixon Technologies has entered into a joint venture agreement with Vivo Mobile India (VMI) for the incorporation of a company in India, that will function as an original equipment manufacturer for electronic devices such as smartphones. Dixon will own 51 per cent stake in the proposed joint venture while Vivo Mobile India will own the remaining 49 per cent. The deal will deepen Dixon’sties with one of India’sexiting smartphone brands and strengthen its play in the smartphone contract manufacturing business. Investors will look for more details on the capacity, investment outlay and the timeline for the new entity to become operational.
Power Grid Bags Transmission Project
Power Grid Corporation of India has received Letter of Intent (LoI) announcing that it has been selected as the successful bidder to set up an inter- state transmission system for the Project for augmentation and bay extension works at Bhadla-III, Ramgarh PS and Kanpur, on a BOOT basis. Investors will look for more details on the estimated cost of the project and timeline to commission the new transmission infrastructure. The development adds to Power Grid’s continuing focus on building transmission assets and highlights its leading role in building out India’s power transmission network.
M&M June Vehicle Production, Sales Rise Robustly
Mahindra & Mahindra saw vehicle production and sales volume jump sharply for the month of June compared to the year-ago period. Total production volume grew 30 per cent to 1,10,795 units from 85,232 units a year earlier while sales volume surged 32.5 per cent to 1,03,502 units against 78,142 units. Export volume surged 120.7 per cent to 5,954 units from 2,698 units a year ago. Investors will see this sharp sequential rise in volumes on the back of strong underlying demand for the company’s SUV portfolio.
CONCOR, GAIL Sign Pact For LNG Dispensing Station
Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has signed an agreement with GAIL (India) Ltd. for setting up of an LNG dispensing station at CONCOR’s own ICD (Inland Container Depot) facility at Khodiyar in Ahmedabad, sources informed. Investors will look for updates from the company on estimated project cost and timeline to set up the LNG dispensing station. The deal is yet another step in CONCOR’streating a green container logistics network at its smart cities and comes as several PSUs push to invest in cleaner fuel infrastructure across the country’s freight and logistics landscape.
