Mumbai, Nov 2: Here are five stocks in focus on Monday, from 41 per cent profit jump for Reliance Industries to the first earnings of Jio Platforms as a listed company to 19.7 per cent rise for Bharat Electronics to 56.2 per cent increase for NTPC Green Energy to record quarterly profit for Indian Oil Corporation. Here are some key points to note from today’s session.

Reliance Industries (RELIANCE)

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries posted a 41 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders to Rs 25,548 crore for the September quarter, compared with Rs 18,165 crore in the year-ago period.

EBITDA rose 24 per cent to Rs 62,409 crore from Rs 50,367 crore, with the oil-to-chemicals business reporting a 68 per cent jump in EBITDA on higher energy prices. Reliance Retail, however, saw net profit fall 24.3 per cent despite a 6.4 per cent rise in gross revenue. The June quarter profit stood at Rs 20,946 crore, and the shares had fallen about 24 per cent this year before the results were announced.

Jio Platforms

Jio Platforms reported a 14 per cent YoY growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 8,389 crore in its first quarterly earnings announcement since making its stock market debut earlier this week.

Revenue rose 11.3 per cent to Rs 47,485 crore, while EBITDA increased 16.6 per cent to Rs 21,879 crore and average revenue per user (ARPU) rose to Rs 218.8. The year-ago profit was Rs 7,379 crore. Parent Reliance Industries holds about 66.4 per cent in the company, whose shares had listed at Rs 1,358 on October 28 against the issue price of Rs 1,119.

Bharat Electronics (BEL)

Bharat Electronics reported a 19.7 per cent YoY jump in consolidated profit to Rs 1,540.4 crore in Q2 FY27, against Rs 1,287.2 crore in the year-ago quarter. Revenue rose 26.5 per cent to Rs 7,327.7 crore from Rs 5,792.1 crore.

Operating profit rose 19.9 per cent to Rs 2,040.9 crore, and the net profit margin narrowed to 21 per cent from 22.2 per cent. The defence electronics maker has kept its FY27 guidance of about 15 per cent revenue growth, an EBITDA margin of around 28 per cent and order inflows of more than Rs 55,000 crore, including the Rs 30,000 crore QRSAM programme. Order inflows were weak in Q1, at about Rs 3,700 crore.

NTPC Green Energy (NTPCGREEN)

State-owned NTPC Green Energy recorded a 56.2 per cent YoY jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 137.5 crore in Q2 FY27, up from Rs 88 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Consolidated revenue from operations climbed 53 per cent to Rs 938.16 crore from about Rs 612 crore. Profit was sharply lower than the Rs 304.84 crore reported in the June quarter, when revenue was Rs 1,106.86 crore. The renewable energy arm of NTPC had an operational portfolio of 10,671 MW at the end of June, after adding 595 MW of renewable capacity in that quarter.

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC)

State-owned Indian Oil Corporation reported its highest-ever quarterly standalone net profit of Rs 21,630 crore in Q2, marking a significant turnaround from the loss of Rs 2,661 crore recorded in the previous quarter.

The standalone profit compares with Rs 7,610 crore in the year-ago quarter, a rise of 184 per cent, while consolidated net profit was Rs 22,503 crore against a loss of about Rs 1,411 crore in Q1. Revenue rose 29.5 per cent to Rs 2.63 lakh crore. Lower crude oil prices between mid-June and mid-August and strong petrochemical and gas margins supported the result, despite under-recoveries on regulated fuel sales.
