New Delhi, Oct 6: Here are five stocks in focus on Tuesday, from a dividend decision date for Vedanta to a 23 per cent revenue rise for Trent to a Rs 248 crore hotel deal for Juniper Hotels to a first-to-market US launch for Zydus Lifesciences to a deeper stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals for Marico. Here are some key points to note from today’s session.
Vedanta (VEDL)
Vedanta‘s board will meet on October 8 to consider the first interim dividend for FY27, the company said in an exchange filing on Monday. October 14 is the record date to determine shareholders who will be entitled to receive the proposed dividend. The amount of dividend was not mentioned in the filing.
After the demerger, Vedanta Aluminium Metal, Vedanta Power, Vedanta Oil and Gas and Vedanta Iron and Steel would be listed on June 15. The company in its first result after that posted a jump in profits for the quarter ended June to Rs 5,294 crore from Rs 4,267 crore. Revenue declined by 1.6 per cent to Rs 24,205 crore. Investors will wait to see the dividend quantum and what management has to say on the same.
Trent (TRENT)
Trent in its business update released on Monday said that standalone revenue from operations increased by 23 per cent YoY to Rs 5,788 crore in the second quarter from Rs 4,724 crore. Revenue for the half rose 21 per cent to Rs 11,454 crore.
In the quarter Trent added 10 Westside stores and 17 Zudio stores. As on September 30, 2026 the company had 1,342 stores. Zudio too crossed 1000 stores in the quarter. The company has shared details on revenue and store addition but nothing on profits. Investors would look at the final numbers to check if the new stores are able to generate profits.
Juniper Hotels (JUNIPER)
Juniper Hotels has signed a binding MoU with Imagicaaworld Entertainment to buy the running hotel Novotel Imagicaa located at Khopoli in Maharashtra for Rs 248 crore. The property has 287 rooms and sits on 11 acres of land next to Imagicaaworld park and water park. It comes to about Rs 86 lakh per room.
With this purchase Juniper will now own eight hotels with 1,895 keys including 245 serviced apartments. The company is looking to reposition the hotel to upper upscale category. Since it is an operating hotel Juniper doesn’t have to invest in building a property. Let us see if the hotel performs well in terms of occupancy and tariffs.
Zydus Lifesciences (ZYDUSLIFE)
Zydus Lifesciences has partnered with MSN Laboratories to launch riociguat tablets in strengths of 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 1.5 mg, 2 mg and 2.5 mg in the United States. Zydus and MSN Laboratories are the first companies to launch a generic version of Adempas (riociguat) in the US market, where the drug has been available only as the branded product.
The product was developed and is manufactured by MSN Laboratories and is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) as a generic equivalent in all five strengths. Riociguat tablets are indicated for the treatment of adults with persistent or recurrent chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension following surgical treatment. Adempas had global sales of about EUR 745 million, or roughly USD 850 million, in 2025, according to Bayer’s annual report.
Marico (MARICO)
Marico has acquired an additional 24.09 per cent stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals, the owner of the plant-based nutrition brand Plix, increasing its holding from 60 per cent to 84.09 per cent on a fully diluted basis. The company paid Rs 1,012.03 crore in cash for the tranche, taking the aggregate consideration for the 84.09 per cent stake to Rs 1,392.07 crore.
The acquisition of the remaining 14.09 per cent stake, held by the founder and certain other shareholders, will be completed in July 2027 for a base consideration of up to Rs 592 crore, plus payments linked to milestones. Satiya’s consolidated turnover doubled to Rs 864.31 crore in FY26 from Rs 432.84 crore in FY25. The deal was an arm’s length related-party transaction with the founders.
