New Delhi: Strides Pharma Science Ltd on Thursday reported a 2 per cent rise in its profit after tax (PAT) for the second quarter ended September to Rs 134.1 crore, driven by revenue growth.
The pharma company had posted a net profit of Rs 131.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal.
Its revenue from operations increased 17.1 per cent to Rs 1,429.7 crore, from Rs 1,220.8 crore in Q2 FY26, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The company’s total expenses shot up to Rs 1,282.57 crore during the quarter under review, compared to Rs 1,085 crore a year ago.
Badree Komandur, MD & Group CEO, Strides Pharma Science said, “Our diversification strategy continues to play out, with Ex-US Markets growing 31 per cent YoY to Rs 696.3 crore and, for the first time, surpassing our US business in quarterly revenue. Our US business delivered 9 per cent YoY growth. Ebitda grew to Rs 250.9 crore, crossing the Rs 250 crore mark in a quarter for the first time. This was despite higher raw material, freight and operating costs arising from geopolitical disruptions.”
He added that the company remains focused on mitigating these pressures through continuous cost optimisation initiatives during the year.
