In a filing to the National Stock Exchange, the company said Danya Electric received a ₹18.23 crore order from Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) for the supply of distribution transformers. The order was recorded at 09:30 AM on March 4, 2026, according to the regulatory disclosure made under SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

Supreme Power Equipment holds around 90% ownership in Danya Electric, giving it effective operational control over the partnership firm.

Order Details and Contract Structure

The order relates to 25 kVA / 22 kV distribution transformers, equipment typically used in electricity distribution networks to step down voltage before power reaches homes and commercial establishments.

The company said the project will be executed over approximately 18 months.

The filing also notes that the contract:

  • Has been awarded by a domestic utility entity
  • Does not fall under related-party transactions
  • Involves no interest from the promoter or promoter group in the awarding authority

Such procurement orders are routine for state utilities as they expand or upgrade distribution infrastructure.

Supreme Power Equipment manufactures power and distribution transformers, supplying equipment to utilities, infrastructure projects and industrial users.

The TNPDCL contract comes through Danya Electric Company, a partnership structure where Supreme Power Equipment maintains significant control with a 90% stake.

Conclusion

The ₹18.23 crore transformer supply order adds incremental visibility to Supreme Power Equipment’s domestic utility order book through its controlled partnership entity. Execution is scheduled over roughly 18 months, suggesting revenue recognition may be spread across multiple reporting periods.

While the contract expands engagement with Tamil Nadu’s state power distribution utility, market reaction during the trading session remained muted, with the SME-listed stock trading modestly lower as of the afternoon update.
