Mumbai July, 23: Suzlon Energy Ltd. has secured a 201.6 MW wind energy project from Waaree Forever Energies Pvt. Ltd. (WFEPL), the independent power producer (IPP) arm of the Waaree Group, further expanding its order pipeline in Andhra Pradesh.

The company said the project will be executed through its Development Company (DevCo) model, under which Suzlon undertakes end-to-end execution, from project development and engineering to equipment supply, commissioning and long-term operations.

According to the company, this is its second consecutive DevCo-led EPC order, indicating growing adoption of the execution model among renewable energy developers.

The project will deploy 64 S144 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, taking the total installed capacity to 201.6 MW.

Andhra Pradesh order pipeline approaches 1 GW

Beyond supplying turbines, Suzlon will execute the complete balance-of-plant works, commission the project and provide long-term operations and maintenance services.

Following this order, Suzlon’s cumulative order pipeline in Andhra Pradesh has moved close to 1 GW, strengthening its presence in one of India’s key wind energy markets.

The company said integrated execution models such as DevCo help developers reduce project risks while accelerating implementation timelines.

Waaree said the project aligns with its strategy of expanding beyond solar generation into a diversified renewable energy portfolio.

Stock Market Snapshot

Suzlon share price was largely unchanged after the announcement. The stock traded at ₹52.95, down 0.11%, as of 12:07 PM IST on July 23.

The limited movement suggests investors were focused more on the order’s long-term contribution than on any immediate earnings impact.
