Mumbai, October 30: Shares of Suzlon Energy, Sagility, PC Jeweller and Vedanta Power featured among the most actively traded stocks by volume on the NSE on Friday, October 30, amid stock-specific developments and quarterly earnings announcements. Suzlon Energy plunged 8.45% after its September-quarter margins disappointed investors and brokerages cut their price targets, while Sagility declined 5.48% amid reports of a promoter stake sale through a block deal. PC Jeweller shed 3.26%, extending its recent correction, whereas Vedanta Power rallied 13.26% after reporting a sharp turnaround in quarterly earnings. Here is a closer look at the stocks and the developments driving their price movements.

SAGILITY LIMITED (down 5.48%)

Shares of Sagility went down on Friday after its promoter, Sagility B.V., reportedly launched a block deal to offload a 12% stake in the healthcare services provider.

Sagility B.V. held a 50.95% stake in the company at the end of the September 2026 quarter. A successful transaction would mark a significant reduction in the promoter’s holding.

The promoter has been gradually paring its stake in the company. In November 2025, Sagility B.V. sold a 16.43% stake through bulk deal, reducing its holding from 67.38%.

The proposed stake sale comes amid a relatively weak performance by Sagility shares, which have declined around 19% so far in 2026.

Sagility provides technology-enabled healthcare solutions and services to health insurance companies in the United States. The proposed block deal is likely to keep the stock on investors’ radar, with attention focused on the transaction’s execution, the promoter’s residual shareholding and the impact of the discounted offering price on near-term trading.

PC Jeweller Limited (down 3.26%)

PC Jeweller shares fell on Friday, reversing the modest gains recorded in the previous session. The stock has shed 14% over the past week, despite the jewellery retailer reporting a 58% year-on-year increase in net profit for the September quarter last week.

Despite the recent correction, the stock has advanced 66% so far in 2026, with the recovery in its financial performance and improving balance sheet helping support investor sentiment.

A significant milestone in the company’s turnaround was its settlement of outstanding liabilities with lender banks under a one-time settlement (OTS) arrangement. The development allowed PC Jeweller to declare itself debt-free, marking a major step towards easing its financial obligations and strengthening its balance sheet.

Going ahead, investors will monitor the sustainability of earnings growth, the company’s ability to maintain its improved financial position and whether stronger jewellery demand can support its business recovery.

Suzlon Energy Limited (down 8.45%)

Shares of Suzlon Energy plunged on Friday after the renewable energy company reported its September-quarter results, with disappointing operating margins and weak cash conversion prompting brokerages to reassess their price targets.

Suzlon reported a 69% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 394 crore for the September quarter. The steep fall was largely attributable to a high base, with the company having recognised a one-time deferred tax asset benefit of Rs 891 crore in the year-ago quarter. Excluding this exceptional benefit, comparable net profit increased 1.3%.

Revenue from operations, meanwhile, rose 26% year-on-year to Rs 4,869 crore, supported by record wind turbine deliveries and improved project execution. However, operating performance remained under pressure, with EBITDA largely flat at around Rs 720 crore. EBITDA margin contracted to 14.8% from 18.6% a year earlier.

Suzlon shares have declined around 10% over the past week and 15% over the past month, while the stock has lost nearly 36% in 2026 so far. Over a one-year period, it is down 42%.

Despite the recent correction, the renewable energy stock has delivered multibagger returns over longer periods, gaining nearly 443% in five years. Its market capitalisation stood at around Rs 46,460 crore.

The immediate focus for investors will be on the company’s ability to restore operating margins, improve cash conversion and sustain execution momentum amid a growing wind energy opportunity in India.

Vedanta Power Limited (up 13.26%)

Vedanta Power shares surged over 13% on Friday after the company reported a sharp turnaround in its September-quarter earnings, swinging to a net profit of Rs 83 crore from a loss of Rs 1,688 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 38% year-on-year to Rs 2,908 crore, while EBITDA more than doubled to Rs 421 crore, up 122%. The company recorded its highest-ever quarterly power sales of 5,593 million units, up 26% year-on-year.
