Suzlon Secures 195 MW Order From Sunsure Energy; Shares Rise 0.66%

Mumbai, May 22: Suzlon Energy said its 3 MW wind turbine platform sales have reached nearly 9 GW after securing a new 195 MW order from Sunsure Energy.

The company stated in an exchange filing that the order marks a repeat engagement with Sunsure Energy and takes the cumulative partnership between the two companies to nearly 300 MW.

According to the company disclosure, Suzlon will supply 65 S144 wind turbine generators, each rated at 3.0 MW capacity. The company will undertake equipment supply, erection, commissioning and long-term operations and maintenance services for the project.

The project is scheduled to be executed in the Bijapur district of Karnataka.

Suzlon said the order strengthens its order book in Karnataka to more than 2 GW. The company added that Karnataka represents one of its key wind energy markets with installed capacity of around 1,500 MW, contributing nearly 24% of Suzlon’s installed base in South India.

The filing noted that the company’s S144 platform secured more than 2.4 GW of orders during FY26, reflecting continued demand from the commercial and industrial renewable energy segment.

Suzlon share price rose 0.66% to ₹53.22 on the NSE as of 10:28 AM IST on May 22, 2026.

The stock traded between ₹53.00 and ₹53.61 during the session against the previous close of ₹52.87, according to exchange data.

Market participants tracked the repeat order announcement as an indicator of sustained execution visibility in the renewable energy pipeline.
