Mumbai, September 15: Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller, Anlon Healthcare and IFCI were among the most actively traded stocks by volume on the NSE on Tuesday, with the four counters seeing significant investor activity amid company-specific developments. Vodafone Idea and PC Jeweller traded lower, while Anlon Healthcare extended its recent rally. IFCI also declined amid concerns over the offer size of the upcoming NSE IPO.

Vodafone Idea Limited (down 1.60%)

Vodafone Idea shares declined after the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) said it would examine concerns raised by Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio over Vodafone Idea’s alleged practices aimed at encouraging customers to port their numbers to its network. TRAI Chairman AK Lahoti said the regulator would examine the representations received from the operators. Vodafone Idea said it believes in fair competition and conducts its business in compliance with the law.

PC Jeweller Limited (down 3.72%)

PC Jeweller shares extended their decline from the previous session after the jewellery retailer said it had cleared outstanding dues with another lender under its September 2024 settlement agreement. With the latest repayment, the company has now settled dues with 11 of the 14 consortium banks, with all repayments made ahead of their scheduled due dates. PC Jeweller said it has also repaid more than 96% of the outstanding amount owed to the remaining three lenders and expects to clear the balance, which accounts for less than 4%, this month. The company had entered into a settlement with the 14-bank consortium to resolve its stressed debt and is now on track to become debt-free.

Anlon Healthcare Limited (up 6.03%)

Anlon Healthcare continued its winning spree on Tuesday, the stock having risen 31.6% over a week. The manufacturer of pharmaceutical intermediates and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) has jumped 42% over a month. It has risen 38.6% this year so far.

IFCI Limited (down 4.73%)

Shares of IFCI Ltd extended their decline on Tuesday, with the stock now down 15% over the past week. Despite the recent weakness, IFCI shares remain up 2% over the past month and 48% so far this year.

IFCI has indirect exposure to NSE through Stock Holding Corporation of India, in which the state-owned financial institution owns more than 50%. Stock Holding Corporation, in turn, holds more than 4% in NSE.

The reduction in NSE’s IPO offer size is among the key changes to the proposed listing, with the exchange offering around 15% fewer shares than initially planned. Several major shareholders have cut the number of shares they intend to sell, with the lower-than-expected IPO price band emerging as a key factor behind the revisions. Stock Holding Corporation is among the shareholders that have reduced their planned stake sale.
