Mumbai, September 21: Jaiprakash Power Ventures, Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller and Anlon Healthcare were the most actively traded stocks by volume on the NSE on Monday. Jaiprakash Power Ventures led the gains among the stocks in focus, rising 11.58% after announcing a ₹511-crore settlement with NARCL, while Anlon Healthcare jumped 9.65% to extend its recent rally. Vodafone Idea gained 0.50% after ending a four-session losing streak, while PC Jeweller rose 0.16% as investors tracked its progress towards settling outstanding lender dues.

Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited (up 11.58%)

Shares of Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd surged in Monday’s trading session after the power generation company announced a settlement agreement with the National Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd (NARCL) involving a payment of 511 crore. The development raised expectations that insolvency proceedings against the company could be withdrawn once the terms of the settlement are fulfilled.

The immediate trigger for the rally was the company’s settlement agreement with NARCL. Jaiprakash Power Ventures said the parties had agreed to settle the claim for 511 crore as full and final payment, subject to the fulfilment of specified conditions and execution of definitive agreements.

The company said the proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) would be withdrawn once all conditions under the settlement terms are fulfilled. The agreement therefore represents a significant development in the company’s efforts to resolve the claim and move beyond the insolvency proceedings.

The latest development also comes days after Adani Power denied media reports that it was likely to increase its stake in Jaiprakash Power Ventures to 51% by the end of 2026.

The clarification followed speculation around a possible increase in Adani Power’s holding in the company. The denial means the NARCL settlement remains the key disclosed corporate development behind Monday’s sharp move in JP Power shares.

Vodafone Idea Limited (up 0.50%)

Vodafone Idea shares ended a four-session losing streak on Monday, even as the telecom operator remains under regulatory scrutiny over its network quality.

In a regulatory filing last Wednesday, Vodafone Idea said the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had issued an order over the company’s failure to meet prescribed quality-of-service benchmarks across multiple service areas in November 2025. TRAI imposed a 2 lakh penalty in connection with the violations.

Vodafone Idea said it was reviewing the order and would assess the appropriate course of action.

The latest action followed another TRAI order disclosed by the company earlier, relating to violations of specified quality-of-service parameters across various service areas in October 2025. That order also carried a 2 lakh penalty.

The two regulatory orders concern consecutive months, putting the spotlight on Vodafone Idea’s network performance as the telecom operator continues to work on strengthening its operations and financial position.

PC Jeweller Limited (up 0.16%)

PC Jeweller shares extended their gains on Monday after ending a five-session losing streak on Friday, with investors tracking the company’s progress in reducing its outstanding debt.

The jewellery retailer said last Thursday that it had repaid the outstanding dues of another lender under a settlement agreement reached with its 14-bank consortium in September 2024. With the latest payment, PC Jeweller has now fully settled its obligations with 11 of the 14 lenders, with all repayments completed ahead of their respective scheduled dates.

The company has also sharply reduced its outstanding liabilities to the remaining three lenders. More than 96% of the total amount due to these lenders has already been repaid, leaving less than 4% outstanding.

PC Jeweller expects to clear the remaining dues during September, which would take it closer to its goal of becoming debt-free. The repayment programme is part of a broader balance-sheet restructuring aimed at reducing the company’s debt burden and strengthening its financial position.

The settlement agreement with the lender consortium was aimed at resolving PC Jeweller’s outstanding financial obligations and improving its balance sheet. The latest repayment marks another step in that process, with the company having now cleared the bulk of its consortium-related dues.

Completion of the remaining payments would leave PC Jeweller with no outstanding dues under the settlement arrangement, if the company meets its stated timeline. Until then, investors will continue to track repayments to the three remaining lenders and progress towards the company’s debt-free target.

A sustained reduction in debt could also lower interest and debt-servicing costs, potentially giving the company greater financial flexibility. The focus will now remain on whether PC Jeweller can complete the final repayments within September and achieve the debt reduction milestone it has set for itself.

Anlon Healthcare Limited (up 9.65%)

Anlon Healthcare shares extended their gains for a third consecutive session on Monday, adding to a sharp recent rally. The stock has risen 29% over the past week and is up 77% in the last month.

The pharmaceutical company, which manufactures pharmaceutical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), has gained 70% so far in 2026, reflecting a sustained rise in investor interest in the stock.
