October 9, 2025: Ujaas Energy is gearing up for its bonus issue of 2:1, with the Record Date and ex-date as October 10, 2025. Investors need to buy shares by or on October 9, 2025, to be eligible for earning bonus shares. The firm also announced the closure of the book from October 9 to October 10, 2025, to finalize eligible shareholders.
What Does the 2:1 Bonus Issue Mean for Investors?
Under the 2:1 bonus issue, for every share held, the shareholders would be entitled to two new shares. If an investor, for instance, happens to own 100 shares, they would own an additional 200 shares after the issue, thereby owning a total of 300 shares.
The value of the investment remains unaffected as the value of the shares in proportion moves. Bonus issues primarily aim to increase liquidity, attract more widespread retail participation, and reward long-term investors by expanding their shareholdings.
