Vikram Solar Inaugurates 6 Gw Solar Plant in Tamil Nadu

New Delhi: Vikram Solar on Friday announced the inauguration of a 6-gigawatt solar module manufacturing plant at Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru C Joseph Vijay virtually inaugurated the facility as part of a state-level programme held in Chennai, the company said in a statement.
The 6-GW solar module manufacturing plant is expected to generate employment opportunities for more than 800 skilled professionals in the region, Vikram Solar said.
The company further said that it also plans to establish 9 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity by FY27.
