Century Enka Ltd stood out with 60.81 lakh shares traded, compared with a one-week average of just 24,998 shares. The sharp rise in activity suggests that these counters were attracting considerably more market attention than usual during the session.

Market Activity
Century Enka Ltd was the clear standout, with its trading volume running more than 244 times above its one-week average. The stock was also up 8.49%, giving the volume spike a strong positive price backdrop. Antelopus Selan Energy Ltd gained 9.56% alongside a 75-times jump in volume, while EMS Ltd advanced 5.99%. In contrast, Nicco Parks & Resorts Ltd and the Motilal Oswal Nifty Midcap 100 ETF saw heavy activity despite trading lower.
Why Volume Gainers List Matters
A sudden jump in volume can tell traders that a stock is attracting much more attention than it normally does. But the direction of the price move matters just as much. Rising prices with expanding volume can indicate stronger buying interest, while falling prices on heavy volume may point to increased selling activity. Comparing today’s volume with the recent average makes it easier to separate an ordinary trading session from an unusually active one.
Conclusion
The 11:30 AM IST snapshot on September 2 showed a clear surge in participation across the selected securities. Century Enka Ltd led the list by a wide margin, while Antelopus Selan Energy Ltd combined heavy volume with a strong price gain. EMS Ltd also showed a notable rise in both trading activity and price. At the same time, the negative moves in Nicco Parks & Resorts and the Motilal Oswal Nifty Midcap 100 ETF show that unusually high volume can accompany selling pressure as well.
