Why Volume Gainers Matter
A sudden rise in trading volume can point to increased interest in a stock or ETF compared with its usual activity. When the rise in volume comes with a sharp price move, it can indicate that buying or selling activity has picked up considerably. However, high volume alone does not explain what is driving a counter. Investors should also look at company developments, price trends and the broader market before drawing conclusions.
Conclusion
The September 7 session saw unusually high volume across all five counters highlighted in the list. Axis Mutual Fund-Axis Nifty Bank ETF recorded the largest increase at 405.19 times its average volume, followed by the UTI Gilt ETF at 372.79 times. Uday Jewellery Industries Ltd and Texmo Pipes and Products Ltd stood out for combining heavy volume with strong gains, while Simplex Realty Ltd also recorded more than 100 times its usual activity. Overall, the data pointed to a significant increase in trading interest across these counters.
