Bengaluru, November 18: Wonderla Holidays share price is witnessing strong investor demand today after it confirmed the date for the opening of its Chennai Park. As of 3:10 PM, Wonderla Holidays share price was up by 2.77%, or 15 points, and was trading at ₹556.65. Until now, the shares have traded within a range of ₹565.55 and ₹537.60. The traded volume for Wonderla Holidays stock stood at 1.44 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹649.95 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹947.40 and their 52-week low at ₹519.
Wonderla Holidays Limited (NSE: WONDERLA, BSE: 538268) is a leading Indian entertainment company engaged in the business of Amusement Parks and Resorts. It is the largest chain of amusement parks in India, operating four major parks across the country and a resort in Bengaluru. The company provides a wide variety of land and water-based rides, attractions, and family entertainment experiences. Shares Rise After Company Confirms Opening Date for its Chennai Park
The rise in the share price comes after the company confirmed that it will open its new Chennai park on December 2 for customers. The company said that its Chennai park will be its most detailed and ambitious yet. It will be inaugurated on December 1, and will entertain customers from December 2.
The Chennai Park will offer 43 world-class rides, including Tanjora, which is India’s first and largest B&M inverted coaster. The park can host 6,500 visitors a day, and tickets start at ₹1,489, along with 10% online discounts and a 20% concession for college students. Some of the key attractions are Tanjora with its zero-G rolls and inversions, Spin Mill which is India’s tallest spinning thrill ride at 50 meters, and Sky Rail, a 540-metre monorail that gives a beautiful panoramic view of the entire park.
The park will also include 8 themed restaurants with 1,384 seats, with specialities like Dindigul biryani, Chettinad chicken, and regional seafood options. It will also allow customers to buy retail merchandise featuring local artisans, including Thanjavur and Marapachi dolls.
Furthermore, it will also be sustainable and will include a 3.75 crore-litre rainwater harvesting capacity, 1,000 kW solar installation (Phase 2), 32,000 sq. m of green cover, and over 1,000 indigenous trees planted on site.
