New Delhi: ACME Solar Holdings has reported more than doubling of its consolidated net profit to Rs 269 crore in the September quarter of FY27, driven by higher revenues from battery energy storage systems and renewable energy capacity additions.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 115 crore in the second quarter of the preceding financial year, ACME Solar Holdings said in an exchange filing on Wednesday.

During July-September, the company’s total income rose to Rs 1,007 crore from Rs 601 crore in the year-ago period.

In a statement, the company said, the “revenues increased by 67.5 per cent for the quarter (year-on-year basis), primarily driven by BESS (battery energy storage system) and RE (renewable energy) capacity addition.”

Its EBITDA also increased by 63.6 per cent to Rs 874 crore from Rs 534 crore in July-September FY26.

During the quarter, the company commissioned 2.1 GWh BESS capacity, taking its cumulative commissioned capacity to 5.2 GWh (gigawatt hour), the second-largest installed BESS capacity in India.

ACME generated 1,840 million units (MUs) of clean energy in Q2 FY27, up 19.6 per cent from the corresponding quarter of FY26, driven by capacity addition and higher irradiation.

Additionally, 324 million units sold in Q2 FY27 through short-term peak power BESS operations.

The capacity utilisation factor has increased from 24.1 per cent in Q2 FY26 to 27.8 per cent in Q2 FY27.

Plant availability and grid availability stood at 99.3 per cent and 99.2 per cent, respectively, for Q2 FY27.

In a separate exchange filing on Thursday, the company announced that it had executed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC for a 400 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project under NTPC’s FDRE Tranche 01, at a tariff of Rs 4.37 per unit.

The PPA was executed through ACME’s wholly-owned subsidiary, ACME Marigold Urja Pvt Ltd. The Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date (SCSD) for the project is June 30, 2028.

An FDRE project integrates advanced solar, wind and battery energy storage systems to enable reliable energy dispatch during peak demand.

ACME Solar Holdings is a leading integrated renewable energy player with a diversified contracted portfolio of 8,370 MW spanning solar, BESS, FDRE, hybrid and wind solutions and an operational capacity of around 3,123 MW and 5.24 GWh of BESS capacity.
