What Does the Block Deal Suggest?

Block deals are a common way for promoters or large investors to reduce their holdings. The promoter stake sale in Bajaj Finserv indicates that the company’s promoters are looking to partially monetise their holdings, possibly to diversify their investments or meet internal capital requirements. Since the sale is conducted via a block deal and not in the open market, it suggests that the promoters have already lined up institutional buyers.
