Chennai, October 7, 2025: BGR Energy Systems Limited’s share price surged to a 52-week high today after the company announced that its bank loans have been taken over by the National Asset Reconstruction Company Limited (NARCL). As of 11:00 AM, the stock hit its upper circuit, rising 5% (₹13.80) to trade at ₹289.90. The share has remained at this level since market opening, with a traded volume of 43,780 shares. The company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹1,898 crore, and its 52-week range now spans from ₹34.50 to ₹289.90.

BGR Energy Systems Limited is an Indian company that is engaged in providing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services. It was established in 1985, and is headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The shares of the company are listed on NSE with the ticker symbol BGRENERGY and on BSE with the code 532930.

NARCL Takeover Disclosure

The shares are witnessing strong investor demand as a result of the company announcing that its bank loans had been taken over by the National Asset Reconstruction Company Limited (NARCL). According to its filing on October 6, the company stated that its outstanding bank loans and revolving facilities, such as cash credit, are no longer ascertainable since NARCL has taken them over. The filing further confirmed that there are no defaults as of September 30, 2025.

The company also reported that it had no outstanding unlisted debt securities, including NCDs or NCRPS, and no total financial indebtedness, including both short-term and long-term, on its books as of the same date.

Clean up of BRG’s Legacy Debt

The debt takeover by NARCL signals that BGR Energy will be able to clean up its legacy debt, which may help the company to revive its business and improve it further. It remains to be seen how the company operates its business in the coming months after the acquisition of debt by NARCL.
