Bullion Rally Continues: Gold Gains Over ₹1,400 per 10 gm, Trades Above ₹1.55 L 

Mumbai, April 15: Gold prices continued its upward march on Wednesday with analysts attributing gains to easing worries over Ukraine crisis as well as receding crude prices.

At the national level, gold is being traded at ₹1,55,350 per 10 grams for 24K, ₹1,42,400 for 22K and ₹1,16,510 for 18K, marking rise of ₹1,420, ₹1,300 and ₹1,060 per 10 grams, respectively. The surge comes as a result of investors jumping back to buying bullion as crisis over Ukraine seems to be calming down.

In Chennai, gold prices are ruling at ₹1,56,220 per 10 grams for 24K gold, ₹1,43,200 for 22K and ₹1,19,400 for 18K. Mumbai witnessed trading at ₹1,55,350, ₹1,42,400 and ₹1,16,510 per 10 grams for 24K, 22K and 18K gold, respectively. Across major cities, gold prices mirrored the national trend, with marginal variations depending on local demand and taxes.

In the national capital Delhi, gold prices were slightly higher, with 24K gold at ₹1,55,500 per 10 grams, and 22K and 18K variants at ₹1,42,550 and ₹1,16,660, respectively. Similar pricing trends were observed in Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kerala, and Pune, where 24K gold hovered around ₹1,55,350 per 10 grams, indicating uniform demand patterns across these markets.

Western cities such as Vadodara and Ahmedabad saw marginally higher prices, with 24K gold at ₹1,55,400 per 10 grams, reflecting slight regional pricing differences. Market participants noted that the rise in gold prices is being driven by a combination of global cues, including softer crude prices, easing geopolitical tensions, and steady demand from domestic buyers, particularly in the run-up to the wedding and festive season.
