Mumbai, April 29: CEAT stocks jumped over 4.62% on Wednesday after touching an intraday high of ₹3,940 during early trading hours, rallying from Tuesday’s close on the back of bumper quarterly results declared during trading hours. At the last check, the stock was trading at ₹3,679.20, having gained ₹162.50 or 4.62% from Monday’s closing price of ₹3,516.70.
Wednesday’s Price Action
CEAT opened around ₹3,700 in pre-open trade on Wednesday and jumped sharply at market open. The stock raced towards an intraday high of around ₹3,940 by 9:45 am — gaining nearly 12% from Tuesday’s close at its peak — following strong buying interest on strong institutional and retail participation after the company announced a whopping 145% increase in consolidated net profit for Q4 FY26 and its highest-ever dividend.
However, buying momentum fizzled out quickly from the morning highs as profit booking set in. The stock fell back below ₹3,900 around 10 am after testing the ₹3,940 intra-day high and drifted between ₹3,800–₹3,820 through the 10–10.30 am timeframe before picking up some pace lower to trade around ₹3,750 – ₹3,770 through the noon-1 pm timeframe. After drifting between ₹3,700–₹3,750 through the early afternoon session, it consolidated around the current price of ₹3,679.20 —still a healthy 4.62% gain from Tuesday’s close, but far off its intraday high. This comes amid heavy profit booking by traders/traders who had bought the stock on results expectation.

Weekly Performance
The weekly price chart for CEAT shows that the stock had been on a sharp downward trajectory heading into Wednesday’s results-driven bounce. The stock opened around ₹3,800 on April 22, which was the first trading day of the tracked week, before declining to ₹3,705 on April 23 and plummeting sharply to a weekly low of around ₹3,465 on April 24 —a decline of roughly 8.8% in two days — likely on account of broader weakness and pre-results caution. The stock stabilised around ₹3,550 on April 27 going into Wednesday’s sharp rebound.

Order Book
The latest available update on CEAT’s limit order book shows overwhelming sell-side liquidity. At present, 70.18% of the total order quantity was on the ask side (86,670 shares) versus 29.82% on the bid side (36,828 shares), indicating that the order book is heavily skewed towards sellers. Buys are available only up to ₹3,676.90 for just 2 shares, while sells are available at ₹3,679.50 for 65 shares. The spread between the best bid and ask stands at ₹2.60. Bid-side liquidity builds at ₹3,676 with 171 shares and ₹3,675.90 with 26 shares, while ask-side depth is seen at ₹3,679.60 with 122 shares. The order book definitely suggested the stock could see near-term consolidation, given the extreme sell-side dominance.

Q4 Results: Production Giant Posts Blockbuster Quarter
CEAT’s Q4 results beat estimates across the board, with consolidated net profit jumping 145.1% year-on-year to ₹243.8 crore in Q4 FY26 from ₹98.7 crore in the year-ago quarter. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 23.3% year-on-year to ₹4,218.9 crore in Q4 FY26 from ₹3,420.6 crore in Q4 FY25 thanks to healthy volume growth and better product mix across both domestic and export markets. The top line grew in double digits across all three business verticals — CEAT Industrial (“CEATInd”), CEAT Mobility (“CEATMob”) and CEAT’Sole Platforms (“CEATSole”) — with CEATMob registering strong double-digit growth led by OEM volume growth across major vehicle segments and export businesses.
EBITDA increased 52.7% year-on-year to ₹593 crore from ₹388 crore in Q4 FY25 as the company benefitted from the dual impact of operating leverage and stable raw material costs, aided by improved realisations. EBITDA margin expanded significantly to 14% in Q4 FY26 from 11.3% in the year-ago period.
Highest Dividend Ever
The Board of Directors of CEAT has declared an interim dividend of ₹35 per equity share for the financial year 2026, the highest-ever in the company’s history. This implies a total dividend payout of around ₹141.58 crore for CEAT.
