Rajasthan Project Adds To EMS Order Pipeline

The latest L-1 status strengthens EMS Limited’s presence in Rajasthan’s urban water and sanitation infrastructure segment.

The company said its order pipeline has remained active across its core business areas. As of June 30, 2026, its order book stood at ₹2,328.91 crore.

The company had also received L-1 status for another sewerage project in Varanasi in June 2026, with an approximate value of ₹102.85 crore. The latest Rajasthan project adds another sizeable opportunity in the same broad water and wastewater segment.

Project Includes Sewer Networks, STPs And Long-Term O&M

The Rajasthan project is not limited to construction of sewer lines. Its scope also covers work associated with sewage treatment plants, giving EMS Limited a role across several stages of the wastewater infrastructure chain.

Once the project is completed, the company will also have a 10-year O&M responsibility, following the one-year defect liability period.

The 18-month execution schedule provides a defined timeline for completing the construction and commissioning work, while the longer O&M period extends the company’s involvement well beyond the initial project phase.

EMS Limited Focuses On Water And Wastewater Infrastructure

EMS Limited operates across engineering, procurement and construction activities in water, wastewater and sewerage infrastructure.

The company works on projects for government authorities and local municipal bodies, including water supply systems, sewage networks and treatment plants. Its operations also extend to electrical contracting and related infrastructure work.

The latest project fits directly into this core business, with sewerage and septage management forming a significant part of the company’s urban infrastructure portfolio.

EMS Limited Reports Improvement In Operating Performance

The company also highlighted improving operating performance in its latest business update. During the first quarter of FY27, standalone operating income stood at ₹125.72 crore, while standalone EBITDA increased 50.27% year on year to ₹25.53 crore.

On a consolidated basis, operating income reached ₹157.24 crore, representing a sequential increase of 30.49%. Consolidated EBITDA rose 31.62% sequentially to ₹28.14 crore.

The company said its water supply, sewerage and wastewater treatment capabilities position it to participate in India’s expanding urban infrastructure requirements.

Conclusion

EMS Limited has emerged as the L-1 bidder for a ₹218.65 crore Rajasthan sewerage project, including GST, with the work covering sewer networks, sewage treatment infrastructure and septage management.

The project carries an 18-month execution period, followed by a one-year defect liability period and 10 years of O&M services. If awarded, it would add another sizeable project to EMS Limited’s existing order pipeline.
