Long unwinding seen in Nifty futures
Create Longs with SL at 25500 Levels
The Nifty, after opening 24 points higher, faced profit booking and steadily lost ground throughout the session. It finally closed at 25,517, down 120 points (0.47%), signaling a pause in its recent upward momentum.
Long Unwinding was seen in the Nifty Futures where Open Interest fell by 1.92% with Nifty falling by 0.47%.
Short Build-Up was seen in the Bank Nifty Futures where Open Interest rose by 0.24% with Bank Nifty falling by 0.23%.
Nifty Open Interest Put Call ratio fell to 0.81 levels from 1.25 levels.
Amongst the Nifty options (03-Jul Expiry), Call writing is seen at 25700-25800 levels, indicating Nifty is likely to find strong resistance in the vicinity of 25700-25800 levels. On the lower side, an immediate support is placed in the vicinity of 25500-25400 levels where we have seen Put writing.
Long unwinding was seen by FIIs in the Index Futures segment where they net sold worth 903 cr with their Open Interest going down by 4731 contracts.
