Long unwinding seen in Nifty & Bank Nifty futures
Create shorts with SL at 25700 Levels
After opening 47 points higher, Nifty witnessed selling pressure yesterday and fell 230 points from the early morning high of 25608.
After 2:45 P.M., Nifty recovered some of its losses and ended the session with a fall of 88 points or 0.35%, to close at 25453.
Long Unwinding was seen in the Nifty Futures where Open Interest fell by 2.14% with Nifty falling by 0.35%.
Long Unwinding was seen in the Bank Nifty Futures where Open Interest fell by 6.46% with Bank Nifty falling by 0.80%.
Nifty Open Interest Put Call ratio fell to 0.78 levels from 0.88 levels.
Amongst the Nifty options (03-Jul Expiry), Call writing is seen at 25700-25800 levels, indicating Nifty is likely to find strong resistance in the vicinity of 25700-25800 levels. On the lower side, an immediate support is placed in the vicinity of 25300-25400 levels where we have seen Put writing.
Short build-up was seen from the side of FIIs in the Index Futures segment where they net sold contracts worth 2,057 cr with their Open Interest going up by 3141 contracts.
