Indian equity markets may see some profit booking today

US equity markets ended the day on a mixed note, yesterday, 6th October, 2025. Nasdaq closed the day, up by 161.16 points or 0.71%. S&P 500 closed the day, up by 24.49 points or 0.36%. Dow Jones closed the day, down by 63.31 points or 0.14%. Government shutdown in US continued. But US President Donald Trump yielded and said that he is ready to do a deal with Democrats on Obamacare but the government should reopen first. One reason the Democrats have refused to pass the latest government spending bill is the cuts proposed to Obamacare.
European markets closed the day in red yesterday
European markets ended the day in red yesterday. Euro Stoxx 50 ended the day, down by 22.99 points or 0.41%. Dax ended the day, down by 0.51 points or 0.0021%. FTSE 100 ended the day, down by 12.11 points or 0.13%. France’s Prime Minister Sebastian Lecornu has resigned after less than one month of being appointed for the post.
Japanese markets continue with their gains
Japanese markets continue with their gains of yesterday. Markets there have got a boost with the election of Sanae Takaichi as the next Prime Minister of the country. At 9:00 a.m. IST today, 7th October, 2025, Nikkei 225 is up by 320.22 points or 0.67%. Markets of Hong Kong, Mainland China and South Korea are closed today because of Mid-autumn festival holiday.
Indian markets may see some profit booking today
Indian equity markets may see some profit booking today after the gains of the past two days. Automobile, FMCG and consumer durable stocks may see some gains today because of strong festival season demand being seen.
