Indian equity markets have started the day today, 15th May, 2025, in red. At 10 a.m. Indian time, Nifty 50 is down by 124.55 points. Sensex is down by 406.05 points. Top gainers at Nifty 50 at this time are JSW Steel, Hero Motors, and Shriram Finance. Top losers are Dr. Reddy’s, PowerGrid and ONGC.

Asian Markets Are In Red Today

US markets closed on a mixed note yesterday. Dow Jones closed, down by 89.37 points. Nasdaq closed, up by 136.72 points. S&P 500 closed, up by 6.03 points. Asian markets have opened in red today. Nikkei 225 is down by 413.72 points at this time. Hang Seng is down by 59.36 points. Shanghai composite is down by 14.19 points. South Korean KOSPI is also down by 7.55 points.

Market Breadth Remains Positive

Hero Motors’ stock price is gaining today after the company declared its March quarter result yesterday. Its standalone net profit in the quarter increased y-o-y by 6% to Rs 1,081 crore. The company also declared a final dividend of Rs 65 per share for FY 25. Shriram Finance’s stock continues to gain, after Fitch improved its credit rating.

Among sectoral indices at NSE, the biggest gainer at this time is the Nifty Media Index. It is up by 0.66%. The biggest loser at this time is Nifty IT index. It is down by 0.59%. Market breadth is positive at this time. 1682 stocks are gaining. 809 stocks are declining. 59 stocks are unchanged.
