Indian Equity Markets Slightly in Green; Nifty 50, Sensex Slightly Up by Midday

At midday, 12 p.m. 30th April, 2024, Nifty 50 was up by 2.15 points. Sensex was up by 44.77 points. There is some volatility in the pattern of trade being shown today. Markets seem to be cautious. US markets closed strongly in the green yesterday. Dow Jones closed, up by 300 points. Nasdaq closed, up by 95.19 points. S&P 500 closed, up by 32.08 points.

Asian markets are trading more on the greener side today. Nikkei 225 is up by more than 200 points. South Korean KOSPI is down by 17 points. Shanghai composite is down by 5.08 points. Hang Seng is up by 74 points.

At NSE, among sectoral indices, Nifty Realty is the top gainer at midday. It is up by 2.95%. Nifty Healthcare index is up by 0.81%. Nifty Pharma is up by 0.75%. Nifty PSU bank is the top loser. It is down by 1.82%. Nifty Financial Services Ex- bank is down by 1.24%.

Nifty Midcap 50 index is also down by 0.02%. Nifty Smallcap index is down by 0.83%. Top gainers at Nifty 50 are HDFC Life, Maruti and Jio Financial Services. Top Losers at Nifty 50 are Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance and Trent.
