Magellanic Cloud’s subsidiary Provigil Surveillance secured a ₹127.62 crore order from GAIL through the GeM portal, expanding the company’s presence in India’s oil and gas surveillance market.

Mumbai, July 30: Magellanic Cloud Ltd. has strengthened its foothold in India’s critical infrastructure segment after its wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Ltd., secured a ₹127.62 crore purchase order from GAIL (India) Ltd. for deploying an integrated electronic surveillance system across the PSU’s gas pipeline network.
The contract was awarded through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) platform and marks one of the subsidiary’s significant wins in the oil and gas sector. According to the company’s exchange filing, the order is expected to deepen Provigil’s presence in an industry where demand for advanced surveillance and security systems continues to grow alongside investments in energy infrastructure.
Integrated Surveillance System to Cover GAIL’s NCR Network
Under the contract, Provigil Surveillance will design, supply, install, test and commission an integrated e-surveillance system across GAIL’s NCR operations and maintenance network. The scope also includes ongoing maintenance of the deployed infrastructure, making it a comprehensive turnkey engagement rather than a one-time equipment supply.
The surveillance platform will be built to meet GAIL’s operational and technical requirements, supporting the monitoring of critical assets across its network.
Management said the order provides a strong foundation for expanding the company’s presence in public sector infrastructure projects while reinforcing its credentials in AI-enabled surveillance and security solutions.
Stock Market Snapshot
Despite the order announcement, investor response remained muted.
Magellanic Cloud share price traded lower on Thursday. As of 12:48 PM IST on July 30, 2026, the stock was trading at ₹29.26, down ₹0.31 or 1.05% from the previous close.
While contract wins often improve revenue visibility, investors generally wait for execution milestones before assigning a meaningful valuation premium, particularly in project-driven technology businesses.
