Magellanic Cloud’s wholly owned subsidiary Provigil Surveillance secured an ₹8.90 crore five-year DFCCIL contract, lifting shares 4.74% in early trade.

Mumbai, August 18: Magellanic Cloud Limited said its wholly owned subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance Limited, has received a Letter of Acceptance from Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) for a contract worth ₹8.90 crore.
The order covers the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and operation and maintenance of an IP-based CCTV surveillance system on an OPEX model. The contract will run for five years and covers a section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor between New Palanpur and New Gothangam.
The scope includes remote video monitoring, asset protection, perimeter security and command-and-control functions. The company said the project will also use AI-enabled video analytics, centralised monitoring and video management capabilities.
The latest contract follows another DFCCIL order secured by Provigil on August 13, making this the subsidiary’s second engagement with the public sector freight corridor operator in a short span.
Stock Market Snapshot
The announcement was followed by a sharp move higher in Magellanic Cloud shares during the morning session.
As of 9:50 AM IST on August 18, 2026, the Magellanic Cloud share price stood at ₹28.04, up ₹1.27, or 4.74%, according to the market data provided.
The stock opened around ₹27.25 and moved higher through the morning after briefly trading in the ₹27.50 range. It later crossed ₹28 and touched around ₹28.10 before settling near ₹28.04 at the latest available timestamp.
The gain puts the stock close to its session high as the market reacted to the new DFCCIL contract and its five-year revenue visibility.

Order Adds To Provigil’s Railway Infrastructure Business
The contract strengthens Provigil Surveillance’s presence in railway and transportation infrastructure, an area where demand for continuous monitoring and automated security systems is expanding.
Under the agreement, Provigil will operate and maintain the surveillance system for DFCCIL while deploying the equipment and associated technology. The OPEX structure also gives the subsidiary a multi-year engagement rather than a one-time supply order.
Magellanic Cloud said the latest win adds to its order pipeline across transportation, government and other critical infrastructure segments.
The company operates through businesses spanning surveillance, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and related technology services. Its subsidiaries include Provigil Surveillance, which focuses on integrated surveillance and security solutions.
Conclusion
Provigil Surveillance’s ₹8.90 crore DFCCIL contract gives Magellanic Cloud a five-year engagement covering CCTV deployment and ongoing operations and maintenance along the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.
The order also follows another DFCCIL engagement secured days earlier, adding to the company’s presence in critical transportation infrastructure.
Magellanic Cloud shares were up 4.74% at ₹28.04 as of 9:50 AM IST on August 18, 2026, after moving higher through the morning session.
