Mumbai, July 11, 2025 – The Nifty Media index declined 1.60% to 1,704.40 amid broad-based selling, with 8 out of 10 constituents in the red. The fall can be attributed to the underperformance of major media companies, including ZEEL, PVR Inox, and Saregama. There is also temporary pressure on the media stocks due to the ongoing and upcoming earnings season (Q1 FY 26).
At 10:30 a.m. IST, the Nifty Media index was trading at 1704.40, down 27.70 points from its previous close of 1,732.10. The index opened at 1,705, reached a high of 1,716.20, and slipped to a low of 1,694.50 during the session.
