Nestlé India Q4 Net Profit Surges 27%; Strongest Quarterly Growth in Nearly a Decade

Mumbai, April 21: Nestlé India posted record quarterly financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2026. This is Nestlé India’s best quarterly performance in 9 years, riding high on high double-digit volume growth and highest-ever domestic sales in a quarter.
Net Profit
The consumer goods giant reported a net profit of ₹1,110.90 crore for the fourth quarter (Q4 FY26), up 27.2% year-on-year from ₹873.46 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income jumped 22.7% to ₹6,766.24 crore from ₹5,512.98 crore and revenue from operations increased 22.6% to ₹6,747.79 crore for Q4 FY26.
EBITDA
EBITDA for the quarter was up 27.6% year-on-year at ₹1,771.60 crore against ₹1,388.30 crore in Q4 FY25, at an EBITDA margin of 26.3%. This robust profitability, coupled with expanding margins, showcases the inherent operating leverage of Nestlé India’s business model.
The quarter included an exceptional item (charge) of ₹36.17 crore, mainly consisting of past service cost of post-employment defined benefit plans due to notification of new Labour Codes, along with provisions for restructuring towards severance compensation.
EPS
Basic and diluted earnings per share for the quarter was ₹5.77, up 27.4% year-on-year from ₹4.53 per share in Q4 FY25.
Dividend
For the full year, the Board has recommended a final dividend of ₹5 per equity share for FY26. The record date is July 10, 2026. Dividend will commence from July 30, 2026. This is in addition to the interim dividend of ₹7 per share already paid in February 2026. The total dividend paid by the company for FY26 is ₹12/share.
FY26 Result
Consolidated income from operations, or net sales, grew 14.5% to ₹23,194.95 crore in FY26 from ₹20,264.55 crore. The growth was led by strong double-digit volume growth across segments. Foreign exchange impact was a headwind of 1%.
Net profit for the year ended March 31, 2026 increased 9.1% from the previous year to ₹3,499.08 crore, from ₹3,207.59 crore. EBITDA grew by 11.2% year-on-year to ₹5,306.06 crore for FY26 from ₹4,769.58 crore. Basic EPS improved to ₹18.15 from ₹16.63.
This includes a one-time writeback of ₹202.32 crore recorded in exceptional items relating to closure of income tax litigation with tax authorities for assessment years prior to FY21.
62nd AGM Details
The Company has fixed 67th Annual General Meeting of the Company for July 03, 2026, through video conferencing to seek approval of shareholders for recommending the final dividend of ₹5 per equity share.
Result Day Trading
Nestle India shares traded higher on Tuesday by almost 5% intraday in a broad rally on the BSE as investors cheered the quarterly earnings beat and the highest ever quarterly profit in 9 years.
Stock opened at around ₹1,298–1,300 in the pre-market. Price fell soon after the opening to hit a session low of around ₹1,287 at 9:15 am. It then traded with very little upside or downside in a tight ₹1,287–1,295 band most of the morning till early afternoon as investors awaited the Board Meeting results. Only in the last session did the stock tear higher in a near-vertical move. From around 14: 15 am onwards, Nestle zoomed up from ₹1,298 to hit a session high of around ₹1,357 by 14:50 am. Against the previous close of ₹1,286.40, the stock climbed as much as 5.5% at its intraday highs.

Weekly Picture
Zooming out to the weekly picture, NESTLEIND had been quietly consolidating before Tuesday’s breakout. The stock was trading in a narrow range of ₹1,255–₹1,257 on April 15 and 16, before jumping sharply to approximately ₹1,287 on April 17 as pre-results positioning and broader market recovery lent support. The stock held firmly at those levels through April 18 and 20, setting the stage for Tuesday’s explosive post-results surge — a weekly gain of over 8% from the April 15 base that reflects a sustained and well-founded re-rating of the stock.
