RailTel gets new orders of Rs 259 crore

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has received the work order from State Project Director Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC) for supply amounting to Rs 243 crore (including tax). It is to be completed in the next three months. It also received Rs 16 crore order to supply UPS and printers to 5507 GPS across Hyderabad from Department Of Education Samagra Shiksha.

Afcons receives LoA for Rs 700 crore project

Afcons has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for construction works related to Vinyl Projects of RIL in Gujarat’s Dahej. The estimated value of the contract is approximately Rs 700 crore (excluding GST). However, the final payment will be made based on the actual value of the work, as per the contract terms. It would be completed in the next 12 months.

Suzlon promoters may sell 20 crore shares

Promoters of renewable energy solutions provider Suzlon Energy Ltd are likely to sell 20 crore shares through block deals, aiming to raise around Rs 1,300 crore. The transaction is expected to be executed in the block deal window, with the shares likely offered at a discount of up to 2% to the prevailing market price.

PNC Infratech gets new contract of Rs 239.94 crore

PNC Infratech Ltd announced the receipt of a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Public Works Department (PWD), Rajasthan, for the construction of a flyover project in Bharatpur city. The total contract value is Rs 239.94 crore, and the project is to be completed within a period of 24 months.

NHPC starts operations of 3rd phase of Karnisar Solar Power project

The company declared the beginning of the operation of the 3rd phase of part capacity of 53.57 MW of the 300 MW Karnisar Solar Power Project, Bikaner. The phase became operational on June 7, 2025.

IRDA recommends increase in TP premiums

IRDAI has proposed an average increase of 18% in TP premiums, with a steeper hike of 20-25% suggested for at least one category of vehicles. The ministry is expected to take a final decision on the matter within the next two to three week.

UPL associate Serra Bonita to sell its entire assets for $125 million

Its associate company, Serra Bonita, plans to sell its entire assets for US$ 125 million. Holding a 33% stake in Serra Bonita, UPL is set to benefit from this transaction, as the proceeds will be distributed among Serra Bonita’s shareholders. The sale marks a significant move for Serra Bonita, with the $125 million consideration expected to be shared proportionately, providing UPL with a substantial financial return. Revenue from Operations of Serra Bonita for the financial year ended December 31, 2024 was Rs 441 crore.

BEL , Tata Electronics to jointly develop indigenous electronics and semiconductor solutions

Bharat Electronics (BEL) will be jointly developing indigenous electronics and semiconductor solutions with Tata Electronics. BEL and Tata Electronics will explore opportunities to collaborate in Semiconductor Fabrication and Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing (OSAT), along with design services solutions, which will be offered by Tata Electronics.

Birla Opus Paints files complain with CCI against Asian Paints

Birla Opus Paints, a unit of the Birla Group, has filed a complaint with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) alleging abuse of dominance by industry leader Asian Paints. India’s largest paint manufacturing company is alleged to have abused its dominant position by threatening dealers to stop dealing with Grasim Industries, owner of Birla Opus Paints.

GRSE signs MoU with Berg Propulsion of Sweden

The partnership seeks to capitalise on the technical and financial strengths of both central public sector enterprises. It includes participation in mineral block auctions and the development of mining infrastructure to support India’s push for mineral security and self-reliance.

IGL not looking to increase CNG prices

Indraprastha Gas (IGL) is not looking to increase compressed natural gas (CNG) prices further. However, cautioned that any abnormal rise in international prices may prompt IGL to review domestic prices. The allocation of cheaper administered price mechanism (APM) gas to IGL has been reduced to 33 percent currently, from 68 percent in September 2024.

Ratanveer Precision increases authorized share capital

The Board of Ratnaveer Precision Engineering at its meeting  has approved to increase authorised share capital from Rs 65 crore to Rs 85 crore. The Board also approved raising of funds up to Rs 211 crore by way of equity issuance.

Lupin receives tentative approval from US FDA for new generic tablet

Lupin Ltd. announced that it has received tentative approval from the US FDA for its ANDA Oxcarbazepine Extended-Release (ER) Tablets, 150 mg, 300 mg, and 600 mg. This product would be manufactured at Lupin’s Nagpur facility in India. Oxcarbazepine ER Tablets, 150 mg, 300 mg, and 600 mg are bioequivalent to Oxtellar XR ER Tablets, 150 mg, 300 mg, and 600 mg, of Supernus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and are indicated for the treatment of partialonset seizures in patients 6 years of age and older. Oxcarbazepine ER Tablets (RLD Oxtellar XR) had estimated annual sales of US$ 206 million in the U.S. (IQVIA MAT April 2025).

RBI cuts repo rate by 50 basis points

The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has cut Repo rate by 50 bps to 5.5% and changed its stance to neutral from accommodative. It also cut CRR by 100 bps in a phased manner enhance systemic liquidity and provide additional lending capacity to the banking sector.

Gail starts operations at LNG terminal at Dabhol

GAIL has started operating its 5 million tonnes a year liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal at Dabhol in Maharashtra at full capacity as it received its first ever cargo at the facility during monsoon.

Company said that the Western Railways, Ahmedabad has issued a letter of Acceptance (LoA) to KERNEX- KEC CONSORTIUM for the project viz, for Provision of KAVACH version 4.0 or latest (formerly known as Train Collision Avoidance System-TCAS), including provision of communication back bone based on UHF and OFC on Palanpur – Samakhiyali – Gandhidham Section on Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway. The Company is partner of the said Joint Venture with a share of 70%. The total bid cost of the project is at Rs 182.8 crore (incl. GST).
