Mumbai, May 26: Adani Enterprises led the Nifty 50 gainers chart on Tuesday, surging 4.33% to top the index even as markets traded virtually flat through the session on mixed signals from the US-Iran conflict front. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV), Tech Mahindra, Eternal, Nestle India, and Bajaj Auto rounded out the top six gainers, rising between 1.09% and 3.31% as metals, auto, FMCG and technology names attracted selective institutional buying on a day when the broader market held its ground with the Sensex near 76,479 and Nifty at 24,059.

Adani Enterprises: Top Gainer

Adani Enterprises (NSE: ADANIENT) topped the Nifty 50 gainers on Tuesday, surging 4.33% to an LTP of ₹2,973 from its previous close of ₹2,849.70. The stock opened at ₹2,846, scaled a session high of ₹2,979.40, and held a low of ₹2,825, reflecting a powerful advance with strong participation through the morning session.

Traded value crossed ₹1,430 crore, making it comfortably the highest-value Nifty 50 gainer of the day. The flagship Adani Group conglomerate attracted renewed buying interest as improving domestic infrastructure capex sentiment and easing crude prices provided a favourable backdrop for its diversified portfolio spanning airports, data centres, green energy, and mining.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV)

TMPV (NSE: TMPV) was the second-biggest gainer on Tuesday, rising 3.31% to an LTP of ₹385.60 from its previous close of ₹373.25. The stock opened at ₹373.75, touched a session high of ₹387.30, and held a low of ₹371.80, with traded value of approximately ₹816 crore making it one of the session’s most actively traded names.

TMPV’s advance was part of a broader strength in the new-age automotive and EV space, with the Nifty EV & New Age Automotive index up 0.36% on the day as investors positioned ahead of the Maruti Suzuki flex-fuel vehicle launch on June 5, which has put the domestic auto sector in sharp focus.

Tech Mahindra

Tech Mahindra (NSE: TECHM) gained 1.71% to an LTP of ₹1,460 from its previous close of ₹1,435.50, opening at ₹1,433.60 and touching a session high of ₹1,465.80 with a low of ₹1,429.90. Traded value was approximately ₹250 crore as the mid-to-large IT services company attracted buying interest on a day when Nifty IT managed a modest 0.30% gain despite the broader sector facing headwinds. Tech Mahindra’s outperformance within the IT basket reflected selective institutional positioning in value IT names that have underperformed their peers over the recent quarters.

Eternal

Eternal (NSE: ETERNAL) advanced 1.34% to an LTP of ₹251 from its previous close of ₹247.67, opening at ₹247.50 and touching a session high of ₹253.04 with a low of ₹245.80. Traded value came in at approximately ₹612 crore, underlining healthy retail and institutional participation in the new-age consumer and mobility platform. Nestle India (NSE: NESTLEIND) rose 1.28% to an LTP of ₹1,431.70 from its previous close of ₹1,413.60, opening at ₹1,417.60 and matching its session high of ₹1,431.70 with a low of ₹1,413.20, indicating a clean and uninterrupted advance through the session. Traded value was approximately ₹210 crore as the FMCG major attracted defensive buying even on a broadly risk-on day, with investors drawn to its stable earnings profile and dividend-paying track record amid lingering macro uncertainty on the Iran war front.
