Outlook
The strong volume and price increase in HDFC Bank kept the index afloat, despite the general weakness in major bank stocks like ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Given that ICICI Bank and Kotak Bank are still weighing down sentiments, traders will be keenly monitoring the intraday momentum.
With the broader Nifty 50 also opening higher, the initial signs point toward a cautious but positive start for the banking sector, led by strong institutional interest in HDFC Bank and AU Small Finance Bank.
