Mumbai, July 24, 2025: The NIFTY IT and NIFTY MIDCAP LIQUID 15 indices opened on a weak note Thursday morning, declining by 1.3% and 1.25%, respectively, amid cautious market sentiment. By 09:55 IST, both indices were under significant selling pressure, with widespread declines across major constituents contributing to the drag.

The NIFTY IT index declined by 1.30%, closing at 36,472.45, with an intraday range of 36,458.65 to 36,974.05. The index remains significantly off its 52-week high of 46,088.90 but well above its low of 30,918.95. Similarly, the NIFTY MIDCAP LIQ 15 index ended the day at 15,408.95, falling by 195.15 points or 1.25%, and traded between 15,396.55 and 15,569.40. Despite the day’s dip, it stays closer to its 52-week peak of 15,919.50, compared to the low of 11,541.70.
