Nifty Realty Index Down by More Than 1% Today As All Constituents Trade in Red

Mumbai, 12 June 2025 – The Nifty Realty index, which fell to 1,016 at 12:17 PM IST on 12 June, lost 11.25 points, or 1.1%, as all 10 actively traded components fell. The index opened at 1,027.65 level today and saw profit booking across the board after solid 30-day gains.

All 10 decliners contributed to the slide, with Brigade, Phoenix, and Anant Raj seeing steeper intraday losses. Raymond continues to reel from a sharp fall, losing over 75% YoY despite being 14.7% near its 52-week low.
Performance Context
- 30-Day Momentum: Realty shares were under pressure today; nevertheless, they performed well over the last 30 days, led by DLF, Anant Raj, and Prestige Estates with 20-27% gains.
- Near 52-week highs: DLF, Oberoi, Lodha, and many others are trading within 10-20% of their 52-week highs.
- Sector Weakness: Sentiment turned cautious in the broader market today, with a 0.42% drop in the Nifty 50.
Outlook
Although today’s decline is only a short-term pressure, the impact of the price rate in the medium term is unchanged. As the earnings season gets into full gear, investors may also look intently at residential and mixed-use developers with good pre-sales and de-leveraging plans.
