Gurugram, July 28, 2025 – Bharti Airtel Ltd (NSE: BHARTIARTL, BSE: 532454), through its data center subsidiary Nxtra by Airtel, has expanded its renewable energy portfolio by signing a fresh power-wheeling agreement with AMPIN Energy Transition. This move adds 205,167 MWh of annual clean energy supply from Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar-wind hybrid projects, pushing Nxtra’s total green energy capacity with AMPIN past 200 MW.
Key Partnership Highlights
- A new agreement has been signed to supply 125.65 MW of solar-wind hybrid power through ISTS infrastructure in two phases.
- The power will be delivered through captive projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka.
- This addition aligns with AMPIN’s existing intra-state renewable energy supply to Nxtra facilities in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha.
- The partnership will supply an additional 205,167 MWh of green energy annually.
- It is expected to help reduce carbon emissions by approximately 149,156 tonnes of CO₂e each year.
- Power will be supplied through ISTS-connected solar-wind hybrid projects.
- With this new addition, AMPIN’s total capacity for Nxtra now exceeds 200 MW.
- The partnership spans across five states, with the new projects located in Rajasthan and Karnataka.
