STL Technologies Ltd was trading at its 5% upper price band, with the stock at ₹865.90. Nova Agritech Ltd surged 20%, hitting its applicable 20% upper band. TCC International Ltd gained 16.63% and was also close to its 20% upper band. On the downside, Davangere Sugar Company Ltd fell 9.84%, while Rhetan TMT Ltd declined 5%. Rhetan TMT Ltd recorded the highest volume among the stocks shown, with 548.04 lakh shares traded.

On the upside, Nova Agritech Ltd and TCC International Ltd recorded particularly strong gains, while STL Technologies Ltd and Sarda Energy & Minerals Ltd were also near their upper limits. Selling pressure was visible in stocks such as Davangere Sugar Company Ltd and Rhetan TMT Ltd.

On the lower side, Davangere Sugar Company Ltd recorded the steepest decline at 9.84%, while Rhetan TMT Ltd slipped 5%. Rhetan TMT Ltd also saw heavy participation, with more than 548 lakh shares changing hands.
Why Price Band Hitters Matter
Price band hitters can quickly highlight stocks experiencing unusually strong buying or selling pressure during a trading session. A stock reaching its upper band means buyers have pushed it to the maximum permitted daily movement, while a lower-band move reflects strong selling pressure. However, hitting a price band does not by itself explain why a stock is moving. Investors should look at the company’s news, trading volume and broader market conditions before drawing conclusions.

Wednesday’s noon session saw sharp moves on both sides of the price-band list.
