RBI Begins Annual Survey Of Software & ITES Exports

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially initiated the 2024–25 edition of its annual survey on Computer Software and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) exports. The exercise is vital for tracking India’s performance in software, ITES, and BPO service exports and contributes to compiling external sector statistics.

- Scope of Survey: The survey targets all entities engaged in software and ITES/BPO exports.
- Data Collected: Covers details related to computer services exports, ITES operations, and BPO service volumes.
- Usage: Results are publicly disseminated and used for compiling India’s external sector metrics.
Submission Details:
- Deadline: July 15, 2025
- Availability: The updated ITES survey schedule (in Hindi and English) is accessible on the RBI website under ‘Regulatory Reporting’ → ‘List of Returns’ → ‘ITES – Survey Schedule’ or via the ‘Forms’ section at the bottom of the homepage.
- Submission Mode: Entities are required to complete and submit the form via email.
