The order book stood at Rs 1,280 crore as of September 30.

During the quarter, the company repaid its outstanding IREDA term loan and secured a 54.20-acre land allotment from the West Bengal government for a greenfield solar cell manufacturing facility at Falta Industrial Park.

The complex will add 4 GW of cell capacity in two phases of 2 GW each.

“Our revenue more than doubled since last year’s same period, while our cell lines operated at 91 per cent utilisation,” Managing Director Sohan Lal Agarwal said.

He said the company’s TOPCon upgrade is progressing, with trial runs targeted by the end of this fiscal.

The board has also approved the company’s entry into EPC, solar independent power production, including solar parks, and energy trading, Agarwal said.

“We believe these initiatives will open new growth opportunities and strengthen Websol’s position in India’s renewable energy sector,” he said.
