New Delhi, Oct 23:Stocks to Watch Today, Friday, October 23, 2026: Swiggy, Adani Energy Solutions, Reliance Industries, HPCL, Nuvoco Vistas

Here are five stocks in focus on Friday, from Swiggy’s narrower loss and sharp share-price slide to Adani Energy Solutions’ 148 per cent profit jump to the final day of the Jio Platforms IPO for Reliance Industries to HPCL’s return to profit to Nuvoco Vistas’ 79 per cent profit surge. Here’swhat’s driving each stock and what to track through the session.

Swiggy (SWIGGY)

Swiggy reported a consolidated loss of ₹922 crore for the September quarter, narrower than the ₹1,092 crore loss a year earlier. Revenue rose 36.1% to ₹7,571 crore from ₹5,561 crore.

Quick commerce revenue climbed 33.3% to ₹1,306 crore from ₹980 crore, while food delivery revenue grew 21.6% to ₹2,338 crore from ₹1,923 crore, with a record adjusted EBITDA of ₹341 crore. Instamart’s adjusted EBITDA loss widened to ₹895 crore, though Swiggy said it expects that loss to have peaked in the quarter.

The stock slumped as much as 9.6% to a fresh record low of ₹190.85 on Friday, after closing at ₹211.30 on Thursday, and brokerages including Jefferies and Emkay cut their target prices. Management’s guidance on Instamart margins for the December quarter will be a key factor to watch.

Adani Energy Solutions (ADANIENSOL)

Adani Energy Solutions reported a 148% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to ₹1,323 crore for the September quarter, compared with ₹534 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations surged 53% to ₹10,076 crore. The company’s market capitalisation stood at about ₹1.6 lakh crore on Thursday.

Profit was up about 15% from ₹1,149 crore in the June quarter. A Kotak Neo report noted that a ₹1,581 crore tax write-back boosted the quarter’s profit, so the headline growth does not reflect operating performance alone.

How the stock trades after the results, along with management commentary on operating margins, will be key factors to watch.

Reliance Industries (RELIANCE)

Total bids for Reliance Industries’ Jio Platforms IPO crossed ₹1 lakh crore as the issue reached the halfway point of its second day of bidding on Thursday, marking progress for what is described as India’s largest IPO.

The ₹30,213 crore issue, priced at ₹1,065-1,119 per share, was subscribed 5.57 times by the end of the second day. Qualified institutional buyers bid 13.29 times their quota and retail investors 1.54 times. Reliance holds 66.43% of Jio Platforms before the issue.

Bidding closes today. Investors will track the final subscription numbers and how Reliance shares react. The stock gained about 2% on Wednesday after the issue was fully booked within 100 minutes of opening.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HINDPETRO)

HPCL reported a standalone net profit of ₹3,482.6 crore in the second quarter, compared with a net loss of ₹11,526 crore in the preceding quarter. A year earlier, it had reported a standalone profit of ₹3,830 crore. The numbers beat analyst estimates.

Consolidated net profit was ₹3,625.22 crore, down 6.1% from ₹3,859.30 crore a year ago, on revenue of ₹1,39,140 crore, up 26.1%. Gross refining margin before export cess rose to $32.15 per barrel from $8.80 a year earlier, with refineries running at full capacity.

Marketing margins remained under pressure, and the standalone loss for the first half stood at ₹8,043.79 crore. Commentary on marketing margins and on whether refining margins hold will be key factors to watch.

Nuvoco Vistas Corporation (NUVOCO)

Nuvoco Vistas Corporation reported a 79.2% year-on-year jump in consolidated profit to ₹65.3 crore in the second quarter, compared with ₹36.4 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue grew 13.5% to ₹2,790 crore from ₹2,457.6 crore.

EBITDA rose 11% to ₹411 crore from ₹371 crore, and cement sales volume grew 9% to 4.7 million tonnes. Premium products made up a record 45% of sales, which helped the company cope with weak cement prices.

The company has flagged cost inflation and muted price realisations. Investors will look for commentary on pricing and costs, and on the newly commissioned Limla plant.
