Here’s what’s driving each stock and what to track through the day.

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL): Bags Rs 903-crore order from SJVN Thermal

Rail Vikas Nigam has received a Letter of Award from SJVN Thermal for the construction of a permanent siding along with an aerial connection via track from the plant boundary to Chausa and Pawani Kamarpur in Buxar, Bihar. The order, valued at Rs 903 crore, is tied to Phase III of the 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project (BTPP), adding to RVNL’s already sizeable order book of rail and power-linked infrastructure contracts. The award underscores RVNL’s continued reliance on evacuation-linked infrastructure work tied to thermal power capacity additions, a segment that has consistently fed into the company’s revenue visibility over the past few quarters.

LIC (LICI) / ICICI Bank (ICICIBANK): RBI clears LIC’s near-10 per cent stake buy in ICICI Bank

Shares of Life Insurance Corporation of India and ICICI Bank will be on the radar of investors today after the Reserve Bank of India approved LIC’s acquisition of up to a 9.99 per cent stake in ICICI Bank, to be completed within one year of the RBI’s approval letter. ICICI Bank informed exchanges of the update in a filing on Saturday, following receipt of the RBI’s letter late on Friday evening, setting up one of the largest domestic institutional ownership moves in the private banking space this year. The approval gives India’s largest life insurer significant headroom to raise its holding in the country’s second-largest private lender, and investors will be watching for any disclosure on the pace and size of purchases in the sessions ahead.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders (MAZDOCK): Wins Rs 118-crore order from MSETCL

Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co. (MSETCL) has placed a purchase order worth Rs 118 crore with Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders for the supply, installation and commissioning of an AI-based comprehensive infrasecure project across five substations, extending the defence shipbuilder’s push into non-marine, technology-led revenue streams. The order adds a diversification data point to Mazagon Dock’s core warship and submarine-building business, as the company continues to bid selectively for adjacent engineering and security-technology contracts.

Brigade Enterprises: Launches Brigade Barcelona in Hyderabad

Brigade Group has announced the launch of Brigade Barcelona in Neopolis, Hyderabad. The premium residential project spans a total land area of 4.04 acres and carries an estimated revenue potential of over Rs 2,700 crore, marking one of the developer’s larger launches in the Hyderabad market this year. The launch adds meaningfully to Brigade’s pre-sales pipeline for the current fiscal and reflects continued developer confidence in premium housing demand across South India’s IT-led micro-markets.

Swiggy (SWIGGY): BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs buy 1.36 per cent stake via block deals

BNP Paribas Financial Markets bought 1.78 crore shares of Swiggy for Rs 491.99 crore, while Goldman Sachs Investments (Mauritius) I purchased 1.98 crore shares for Rs 549.01 crore. Together, the two transactions represented a 1.36 per cent stake in Swiggy, with the shares changing hands at Rs 276.10 apiece.

Broader Read

Monday’s triggers span a large rail-infrastructure order win for Rail Vikas Nigam, a regulatory green light that lets LIC deepen its footprint in ICICI Bank, a technology-linked order for Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, a marquee residential launch for Brigade Enterprises, and a block-deal reshuffle in Swiggy’s ownership, a mix of company-specific developments for investors to weigh even as the broader market eyes a cautious open. GIFT Nifty futures were trading around 23,962.50, down 32.50 points or 0.14 per cent, as of early Monday morning, after the Nifty 50 snapped a four-session losing streak on Friday to close at 23,897.70, up 24.25 points. Elevated crude near $92-97 a barrel amid escalating US-Iran tensions, alongside mixed cues from Asian markets and a weak Wall Street close on Friday, is likely to test whether Monday’s gains hold through the session.
