Mumbai, Sept 15: Here are stocks in focus on Tuesday, as trading resumes after Monday’s Ganesh Chaturthi holiday, from a US antitrust settlement at Sun Pharma to an FDA facility assessment at Dr. Reddy’s to a fresh order win at Focus Lighting and Fixtures to confirmed dividend payouts at Clean Science and Technology. Here’s what’s driving each stock and what to track through the session.

Sun Pharma (SUNPHARMA): Settles US Generic Pharmaceuticals Pricing Antitrust Litigation

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (SUNPHARMA) and its subsidiaries have entered into a settlement agreement in the Generic Pharmaceuticals Pricing Antitrust Litigation in the US, for a confidential amount. The settlement provides for a full release of claims against the company and its subsidiaries in the matter. The multi-district litigation, which has run for several years and named numerous global generic drugmakers as defendants, has seen many companies opt to settle rather than continue litigating the price-fixing allegations. The confidential settlement removes a legal overhang tied to the case for Sun Pharma, one of India’s largest pharmaceutical companies by revenue.

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (DRREDDY): USFDA completes records assessment at Mexico API facility

The US Food and Drug Administration completed a records assessment at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd‘s (DRREDDY) active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing facility in Jiutepec, Morelos, Mexico. The assessment, conducted between July 17 and September 8, concluded with two observations issued through Form FDA 2953. The Jiutepec unit is among Dr. Reddy’s overseas manufacturing sites supplying active pharmaceutical ingredients for its global formulations business. Investors will watch for the company’s response to the observations and any subsequent update on the facility’s regulatory classification.

Focus Lighting and Fixtures (FOCUS): Bags Rs 5-10 crore order from Ingka Centres India

Focus Lighting and Fixtures Ltd (FOCUS) has secured an order worth approximately Rs 5-10 crore from Ingka Centres India, part of the IKEA ecosystem, for the manufacture, supply and delivery of LED lights and fixtures. The order is scheduled for delivery by December 2026. The company said the win is expected to strengthen its order book and deepen its relationship with institutional customers, as it continues to build out its presence in the LED lighting segment for large-format retail and commercial clients.

Clean Science and Technology (CLEAN): Confirms final and interim dividend payouts

Clean Science and Technology Ltd (CLEAN) has announced a final dividend of Rs 4 per share and confirmed an interim dividend of Rs 2 per share already paid during the year, taking the total payout for the year to Rs 6 per share. All resolutions proposed at the company’s 23rd Annual General Meeting, including the dividend payouts, were approved by shareholders, underscoring the specialty chemicals maker’s continued focus on shareholder returns alongside its core manufacturing operations.

Broader Read

Tuesday’s triggers span a US antitrust settlement for Sun Pharma, a USFDA facility assessment at Dr. Reddy’s, a fresh order win for Focus Lighting and Fixtures, and confirmed dividend payouts at Clean Science and Technology, a mix of company-specific developments for investors to weigh as trading resumes after Monday’smarket holiday for Ganesh Chaturthi. The Nifty 50 had closed at 23,398.10 on Friday, down 79.70 points or 0.34 per cent, while the Sensex ended at 74,781.76, down 120.83 points or 0.16 per cent, capping a weak week in which the Nifty fell 1.81 per cent and the Sensex slid 1.93 per cent on a cumulative basis. Gift Nifty futures were last indicating a level near 23,575, a positive gap over Friday’s close, though that reading predates Tuesday’s pre- market session and should be read as indicative rather than final. Elevated crude oil prices, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and rising US Treasury yields kept sentiment cautious through last week’s trade, and are likely to remain in focus as the market reopens after the festival break.
