Mumbai, April 15: Tanfac Industries Limited has entered into a long-term Memorandum of Understanding with a multinational company for the supply of fluorinated chemicals, with an estimated value of ₹1,250 crore over five years.

Under the agreement, Tanfac will supply 5,000 metric tonnes annually of a key fluorinated product. The contract is expected to begin from January 1, 2027 and run over a five-year period, the company said in an exchange filing.

Stock Market Snapshot

Tanfac Industries share price was at ₹2,520.00, up 12.73% as of 10:12 IST on April 15, 2026, compared to ₹2,235.40 at the previous close, according to exchange data.

Why This MoU Feels Bigger Than A Typical Contract

On paper, the ₹1,250 crore number is spread across five years. A multinational client typically brings stricter standards, stable demand cycles, and longer engagement horizons.

The Export Angle Adds Another Layer

Export-linked chemical businesses often benefit from better pricing discipline and diversified demand. It also positions the company within specialised global niches rather than purely domestic cycles.

For Tanfac, this could mean more than just revenue. It could mean relevance.

Company Background

Tanfac Industries Limited operates in the specialty chemicals segment, focusing on fluorine-based products used across industrial applications.

Its business sits at the intersection of domestic manufacturing and global chemical demand, particularly in niche segments where entry barriers tend to be higher.

Conclusion

The market’s reaction suggests that investors are valuing predictability over immediacy. A locked-in pipeline over five years carries more weight than sporadic short-term wins.
