Mumbai September, 02: Thomas Cook (India) Limited and SOTC Travel are expanding their charter holiday programme with five exclusive flights from Bengaluru to Lakshadweep scheduled for December 2026.
The companies announced the plan through an exchange disclosure on September 2, saying the new departures are aimed at travellers planning year-end holidays and seeking a more convenient way to reach the island destination.
The packages are being positioned as premium, all-inclusive holidays rather than simply charter flights. Travellers will have access to destinations including Thinnakara and Bangaram, along with selected accommodation and experiences built around the islands.
The Bengaluru programme also adds to the group’s charter operations from Mumbai to Bhutan. The companies said the strategy is focused on destinations where dedicated connectivity can make the holiday experience easier to plan.
Stock Market Snapshot
The Thomas Cook India share price was at ₹104.58 as of 12:40 PM IST on September 2, 2026, down ₹1.13, or 1.07%, from the previous close of ₹105.71.
The stock opened at ₹105.90 and initially moved up to ₹106.05. It later slipped to a low of ₹104.16 before trading around ₹104.58.
The share price movement remained subdued despite the company’s latest travel announcement, with the stock staying below its previous close at the time of the market update.

Lakshadweep Packages Focus On Easier Access And Premium Experiences
Lakshadweep is an attractive leisure destination, but connectivity can be an important consideration when planning a trip. Thomas Cook India and SOTC Travel are looking to address that issue by putting dedicated charter flights at the centre of the holiday package.
The companies said the Lakshadweep offering will combine air connectivity with premium stays, island experiences and activities. This gives travellers a more structured holiday option instead of arranging each part of the trip separately.
The charter departures from Bengaluru are particularly aimed at improving access for travellers in the southern market during the busy year-end travel period.
Thomas Cook India Builds On Charter-Led Holiday Strategy
Thomas Cook India operates across leisure travel, corporate travel, MICE, foreign exchange and related travel services. Its group includes businesses such as SOTC Travel and Sterling Holiday Resorts.
SOTC Travel has a long presence in the leisure travel market and offers curated holiday packages across domestic and international destinations. The latest initiative fits into that broader approach of creating packaged experiences around destinations with specific travel requirements.
The group is also operating charter flights from Mumbai to Bhutan during the same period. By adding Lakshadweep from Bengaluru, the companies are extending the model to another destination where direct connectivity can simplify the overall travel journey.
Charter Model Gives Thomas Cook India Another Way To Package Demand
The latest programme is not just about adding flights to the schedule. It allows Thomas Cook India and SOTC Travel to control more of the holiday experience, from air travel and accommodation to activities and destination arrangements.
That approach can be useful for premium leisure products, where travellers often value convenience and a ready-made itinerary alongside the destination itself.
The Lakshadweep launch also comes as Indian travellers continue to look for more distinctive domestic holiday experiences beyond traditional tourist circuits.
Conclusion
Thomas Cook India and SOTC Travel have announced five exclusive charter departures from Bengaluru to Lakshadweep for December 2026, with premium stays and curated island experiences forming part of the offering.
The initiative builds on the group’s existing charter operations and is aimed at destinations where dedicated connectivity can make packaged holidays more accessible.
Thomas Cook India shares were trading at ₹104.58, down 1.07%, as of 12:40 PM IST on September 2, 2026.
